- Winthrop ball bearing and bushing assemblies are both high quality and smooth rolling, however they differ slightly in performance. A bushing assembly will last longer, handle higher rolling speeds better, require much less maintenance and cost less. A ball bearing assembly will have a smoother rolling action.
